Who Are We?

A safe space. A place to find resources and stories that sound like your own. Somewhere you can show up exactly as you are, no explanations needed. Pull up a chair, grab a warm blanket and a cup of tea, and stay as long as you like.

We are The Moxie Collective. Built by victim-survivors and allies, for victim-survivors.

Every month, we hold check-in circles and wellness activities; warm, honest, trauma-informed gatherings where no one has to face the aftermath of IBSA alone.

We also raise awareness through advocacy and education, bringing survivor-led perspectives into the wider conversation through seminars, booths, research, and thought pieces.

At its heart, our work comes down to three things: easing the isolation that so often follows IBSA, confronting the rise of tech-enabled sexual violence, and putting real, usable resources into the hands of anyone looking for a way forward.

The Future We're Working Toward

Society recognises IBSA for the serious harm it is.

Victim-survivors' privacy, dignity, recovery, and reconnection come first.

Bystanders refuse to look away. They stand up to perpetrators and actively stop the spread of non-consensual imagery.

A future where...

Genesis

The Moxie Collective was started in December 2023 by a group of four victim-survivors and allies against the growing prevalence of IBSA in Singapore.

Our name was inspired by the coming-of-age film "Moxie", which follows the journey of a girl who starts a feminist zine to empower the young women in her high school, as they contend with bullying, sexual harassment and rape. Deeply moved by the gutsy spirit of defiance and collective optimism, we decided to name our community after the film.
